Finding and developing right type of people has always been among the most important tasks and responsibilities in Karyakarta Nirman. Individuals, in this evaluation, act upon each other in infinite ways and degrees and over a long span of time. We have to study the human behavior of the fellow Karyakarta , his interactions in society, and his individual potential while he is a part of the 'Organisation.'

Whenever we move out, we shall keep a note book. We shall never miss an appointment. Others may be late, but we will be in time. We shall never forget or delay in replying to the letters we receive. Delay results in denial and that is harmful. Not to reply letters is like turning the back to the public. It is necessary for a Karyakarta, to think inward and do self correction daily. With a discerning intellect we must find out whether any unworthy act was done by us due to the be fooling by our mind. If it is so, we should resolve to throw such thoughts out and become better persons from the next day.

Rest is a must. The body, mind and the intellect have immense potentialities. The intellect is to be used as a servant and it shall not be allowed to be the master, because it can offer weighty arguments to support even our weaknesses. So, rest is necessary to keep the machine efficient. Also the time of rest can be utilised for day to day self introspection.

Mangalore: ABVP to present demands on various issues to new government

"The country is in a victorious mood, having witnessed political changes which the common man wanted. This victory (of BJP) is against corruption," said P Murali Manohar national president of ABVP (Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarti Parishad).

He was addressing a session after inaugurating the four-days national executive council meet of ABVP at Sanghanikethan here on Monday May 26.

"We are not into politics; but being citizens of this country we have the responsibility of bringing political changes. The ABVP had participated in awareness programmes conducted for first time voters. As a result, this time 14 crore first time voters participated in the elections," he added.
"Our aim is not only bringing a political change but also social change. During this four-day meet resolutions on various issues like the national scenario, education, national security, security for women and the north east students all over India will be take. Based on the resolutions, we will place our demands before the new government.
"The north-east students are also the sons and daughters of Bharath Mata. All of us belong to one race. North-east students do not have qualition education institutions even after 60 years of independence."
He further said, "We are in favour of saffron ideology. The new government is also in favour of this ideology. This is not end, but the beginning. We will present our demands, the 12-point resolution to the new government.
"Youth are aspirants for effective governance. Education has been commercialized and should be stopped," he added.
He also said this time minsters will amend the laws unlike earlier minsters who were 'busy in personal attacks'.
Shreehari Borikar, the national general secretary of the ABVP spoke on this occasion.
Morning, noon and night, all the time our mind should meditate upon the pursuit of our ideology. We must be conscious not to waste time and energy. We should utilise every moment of life and every ounce of energy for the allotted work. The time and energy available at our disposal will be thought of and utilised very carefully.

A Karyakarta must place himself in such a position that people rush to him for some active work and intense participation. They should feel comfortable while talking to him and are open to
consultation. He has to assign work to fellow karyakartas according to their capacities and aptitudes. Everybody must feel that he is contributing to the growth of the party and its great nationalistic cause. Our party need men, who are dedicated to the cause, leaving all their self interest aside. As more people with bright talents and higher values of life come together, the prospect of success becomes brighter and definitely possible.

Why Hindu Rashtra: K. S. Sudarshan

When the Shahi Imam of Jama of Delhi went to Mecca on a pilgrimage, a local resident asked him, "Are you a Hindu?" The Imam was startled by this question and replied, "No, I am a Muslim." When Imam Saheb asked him the reason for calling him a Hindu, he replied that all Hindustanis were called Hindu there. (Saptahik Hindustan, May 1,1977)

What does "Hindu" Connote ?
Replying to the felicitation at the Indian Association Lahore, on February 3, 1884, Sir Syed Ahmed the founder of Aligarh University said, "We normally associate the word Nation with Hindus and Mussalmans. In my opinion, the concept of nation is not to be linked with one's religious beliefs because all of us, whether Hindus or Mussalmans, have grown in this soil, enjoy common points of sustenance and prosperity and share common rights. This verily, is the basis for both these our sections in Hindustan to come together under the common name Hindu Nation... The term Hindu should not be identified with the Hindu community. All sections--whether they be Mussalman or Christian -- are Hindu." (Hamari Ekta Delhi April 15,1979)
A Frenchman asked an Indian, "What is your religion?" The reply was, "Hindu." The Frenchman countered: "That is your nationality; but what is your religion?"
In fact, neither Arabs, nor Frenchmen nor the people of any other country have any doubt that "Hindu" connotes the nationality of this land. Arnold Toynbee in his monumental work A Study of History uses invariably the word Hindu to denote the race, the society and the civilisation born and grown here over the past millennia and extending right up to the present day.
Hindu : National of Bharat
Anyone who is the national of this country, irrespective of being a Shaiva, Shakta, Vaishnava, Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Christian, Parsi, Buddist or Jew by way of his creed or mode of worship, is a Hindu. As Justice M.C. Chagla has forcefully put it, "The French, with their sense of logic and precision, call Indians irrespective of their caste or community L Hindus. I think that is a correct description of all those who live in this country and consider it their home. In true sense, we are all Hindus although we may practise different religions. I am a Hindu because I trace my ancestry to my Aryan forefathers and I cherish the philosophy and the culture which they handed down to successive generations.
"If only we accept this proposition and call ourselves Hindus by race, it would be the greatest triumph for secularism."
The Archbishop of Ernakulam, Dr. Joseph Cardinal parecattil, has stated that the "Church had to draw its cultural nourishment from the local soil - the rich resources of Hinduism." Himself an ardent advocate of Indianisation of Church, the Archbishop affirms that all Indians including Christian and Muslims should imbibe this national culture of the soil.
A Karyakarta should possess a genuine feeling of affection for the poor and the downtrodden. A Karyakarta is expected to work for the betterment of the masses with complete dedication. He should have a social commitment to bring unity among the people and awaken them to our true and integrated National Life.

Dattopant Thengdiji – Role model worth studying, analyzing, understanding and emulating

It won’t be an exaggeration, if I can say that Sri Thengdiji was one of the great souls that Sangh has gifted to modern Bharat. He was a visionary, an intellect, a great thinker and a philosopher; an able organizer sacrificed his whole life for Sangh Karya as a ‘Pracharak’ and lived an austere life all along. He was a down to earth person and very approachable to anyone. Above all he surrendered to the cause of Sangh and was well fit in Sangh’s mission and worked for the growth of Vividha Kshetra in true spirit of Doctorji’s vision of Sangh’s unfoldment in various walks of life.
As Sangh lacked experience(early 50′s) in labor union, its issues, and dynamics, Thengdiji was sent to study the leftist labor organizations to really understand how these labor unions run and work. Without getting swayed away by the attractive slogans of the leftist movements, he came back with the understanding of the dynamics of the labor unions and he developed Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) in a non-leftist, Sangh way from scratch. And now to his credit BMS is the largest labor union in India and obviously the largest non-leftist labor union in the world.
From inception to incubation to manifestation of Vividha Kshetra(s), Thengdiji tried his best to keep the spirit of Sangh and its mission at the core in the whole scheme of things and yet be a separate, well managed organization. He worked very hard and in a meticulous manner for the Vividha Kshetra to maintain a symbiotic relationship with Sangh. Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (Farmers org), Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, Samajik Samarasta Manch are few more which came up under the guidance of Sri Thengdiji. In spite of all this Vividha Kshetra work, at his personal level he never ignored the regular attendance of Shaka and being connected with Sangh.
An excellent book by Sri Thengdiji named “Sangh Karyakarta” and as aptly quoted by Sri Vaidyaji as Sanghopanishad is worth reading and using it as a reference at personal level. Another good book that comes to my mind is “Nationalist Pursuit” by Sri Thengdiji.
If we as Swayamsevaks/Sevikas are inclined and interested to work in various fields apart from core Shaka work, certainly he is a role model worth studying, analyzing, understanding and emulating.

PATRIOTISM VS PAROCHIALISM: What IS YOUR STANCE?

Poster Showing Cross on Communist Symbols

E
Ever since the struggle for independence of our great nation we have seen the debate between patriotism and parochialism, we must also remember that it were the true nationalists such as Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh and Swami Vivekananda who refused to accept any sort of a compromise on the part of the British and clamored for complete independence or POORN SWARAJ. On the other hand, the Congress was initially happy with the idea of a dominion status which meant that we would still be under the British, and saying “Lord, Save the Queen!” before starting anything. And let us not forget the Communists, who were dead opposed to the idea of independence and came out with derogatory slogans such as YehAazadiJhootiHai(this freedom is a lie)and opposed Quit India Movement, supported Chinese aggression of 1962.
Dear friends, having understood this historical background, let us now examine where our (ABVP) patriotism and their (Congress-Communist nexus) parochialism lies. The congress never resisted the partition of India with a strong force, in fact this reminds us of the American Civil war where the union was saved from being broken up. Millions of people due to the partition suffered and we got our adversary: Pakistan. On the other hand, if we oppose Pakistan, the communists spit venom saying that we are spreading hatred!
Did the communists bother when Bangladeshi illegal immigrants started infiltrating into the North-Eastern region of our beloved India, changing the demography and taking over the resources of indigenous Indian? No, never. In fact, when the hapless students of our North-East were threatened to move out of Bangalore as a retaliation of the Assam Riots in 2012 that time the “communal RSS, the communal Fascist agents of the VHP and other right wing organisations took up the responsibility of protecting them and helping them”. Today as Indians were are proud of ourNorth East, which has its own indigenous culture and heritage, when we look at our map, we proudly see our North East region as an integral part of India where Indians live and which is now being illegally occupied by Bangladeshi immigrants with the active support of the Communists and the Congress(NSUI).  There are immense cultural similarities between the North-East and rest of India right from the time of the Mahabharat. Even during the Second World War, when Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose entered Manipur with his brave band of soldiers the locals welcomed him as their son and vowed to fight the British together.
Dear Brothers and sisters of NE India, where have those days gone? Since when did you all become outsiders? We strongly oppose any insult and racial slurs that are attributed to you people as we consider you all as much Indian as every other. We are proud of your culture and music; of your cuisine and lifestyle and we sincerely believe that in the heart of every North East India there is immense love for mother India.Time has come for our North Eastern brothers and sisters to make the ultimate choice as to whether they want their homes taken over by invaders or be safe in their own lands.
Talking about Indian patriotism, no one can forget the immense contribution of the Gorkhas for our beloved motherland, no one can forget how the Pakistani soldiers shook in fright as the brave Gorkhajawan whipped out his trademark weapon- the KHUKRI and rented the air with his battle cry ( JAI MAA KALI AAYO GORKHALI), glory to mother goddess Kali for here comes the gorkhas. And today look at how the communists never mention their glory because they will never realize that glory comes to those who strive for it and not to those who murder farmers in NANDIGRAM, and organize violence on a large scale. Glory will never be understood by the Congress who have always depended on the power of money and not the power of blood. To our dear Gorkha brothers and sisters, you are as much Indians as we are, your stories of girt determination and bravery will never go down in vain, every child of India will hear how your people shed their precious blood for mother India and how they proudly hoisted the national flag after a battle.
Time has also come for you to throw away the dirty hypocrisy of the communists and the congressis( NSUI walleys) and stand for your rights!! And we believe that you are Indians and we never type cast you as foreigners and outsiders… time has come for you great sons and daughters of the Brave Gorkha to realize who has neglected you and who sings songs of your glory!! This is the ultimate choice where either you stand with the truth like a brave Gorkha or go down with falsity….
For us nationalism extends to all the people of India, for us the Missile man of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is not a Muslim but an Indianand it is due to this great man that today, we can look fiercely at our enemies and tell them that one false move and we will raze down your cities to dust!! We are proud of brave soldiers like Abdul Hamid and Capt. Haniffudin who showed the enemy the power of a loyal India. We are proud of Asfaquallah Khan who joined the freedom struggle and became a martyr, unfortunately our Muslim brothers and sisters have always been tempted by these anti-nationals to think that they are different when they are by blood and mind Indians like us. For us, there is no place for parochialism as we never tell anyone that they are different. The communists by virtue of their slippery tongue have managed to spread lies and hate among the people making inroads which however have failed, one must not forget that we are Indians and we have resisted invasions after invasions, one must not forget that the congress divides people on lines of everything imaginablebut on the other hand a patriot sees no name no gender no class or religion but only sees patriotism.
This goes out to all the students of our university, have you forgotten that when you were a small child you played with everyone and shared your food without asking about caste or religion? Since when have these trivial things become so important? The only solution to live with your head held high is to reject the falsity, corruption and pack of lies generated by the congress and the communists and to support the nationalists… the communists will always lie. In fact lie so much that sometimes, they themselves do not remember the original lies told by them, they will talk about division of India; they want the destruction of your homes, your cities they will cooperate with the enemy. Because for them, being Indian is being evil but being a senseless corrupt communist is something important. On the other hand look at the so-called nationalism of the congress(NSUI), they have no strong stance  against our enemies. If tomorrow,China enters ladakh and the north east and kills our brothers and sisters, our congress leaders will still hold meetings in AC rooms and come out with no strong conclusion.
Oh dear Indians!!! Till how long will you listen and believe in false propaganda??? Palestine is important for them, but Tibet is not, when the brave Tibetans rose against the corrupt and morally deficient fascist regime in Free Tibet, our dear Indian communists were asleep!! Not a comment came from them. Not a single word of sympathy because for them, the deep relation between India and Tibet is nothing as compared to Hu Jintao’s colourful joker’s mask of lies. No one can forget how they laugh when Indian soldiers die, or how they order the killings of innocent villagers who are suspected of being police informers. Where did their sense of comradeship and brotherhood go then? Dear brothers and sisters, Communism is nothing but a capsule of a very bitter pill that has been coated by sugar syrup, no matter how good it tastes initially in the end it will be bitter! And of course no one can forget how the congress has never been able to properly spread the idea of being an India. How can they when their national bank is actually the SWISS BANK? How can they be patriotic when the lives of Indians are not more important than that of Union Carbide’s owner? How can they be patriotic when they never acknowledge our glorious history and achievements?
For us patriots everyone is an Indian from the valley of Kashmir to the north east from Kanyakumari to the great Indian plain, we see no caste no religion no creed we see only one thing- INDIAN.
